 Hybrid Fantasy
Fine silver, brass, perspex Dimensions Variable
My project is to explore the relationship between the “Macro-world”
and the “Micro-world”. Informed by the Spanish architect Ricardo Gao Bofill this work plays with scale and perception and aims to create
objects that are intriguing and absurd all at once. I experiment with
basic geometric shapes to build miniature landscapes that play [email protected] with narrative. Through the enlargement of the micro-objects and
shrinking of the macro-objects and the blending of these objects
together in a set environment, I can explore abstract shapes and
express them in a concrete form to achieve my fantasy and unsettle
the viewer.
