If I were to summarise my art in just five words, I’d say, inside, outside, disconnection, experience and change. Inspired by psychology, I use interior spaces to explore the ways in which human emotions and subjectivity transform a once neutral world into a psychologically manipulated negative or positive environment. Using windows and showers, I delve deep into the multifaceted nature of the human experience, exploriing invisibility, introspection and entrapment. I examine the window as a barrier, and the shower as a refuge. I explore the window as an invisible construct, and the shower as an escapism. Ultimately, what fascinates me greatly is the experience of simultaneous mental states in a singular place. At once, pure bliss can overwhelm us, nostalgia can overtake us, and paranoia can sweep over us.
