My body of work is an exploration into the many different ways my subconscious mind creates imagery, ideas and stories. Working intuitively, I draw, paint and sculpt from the ideas my mind suggests, taking a similar approach to art as the surrealists.
My research engages with ideas relating to psychology and how
my work is influenced by the things I experience, creating my own mythology and illustrating the stories that take place in it. The subconscious ideas are often inspired by mythology and folklore
but are also infuenced by modern life (e.g. video games, movies/TV, internet culture, the city, modern history and current events). Gaming has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember and continues to be a place where I can draw inspiration from, informing my own practice and mythological stories.
