My practice is wheel based with a heavy emphasis on
construction. Inspiration for this process comes from the ancient Lamassus, the composite animals (man, bull, eagle, lion) which guard the gates of the ancient cities of Mesopotamia. In this tea pot the man becomes a lidded jar, the bull a bowl, the eagle a plate, and the lion a bottle. These forms, through painstaking constuction, become one coalesced work of art and function.
