My honours research project this year began with an investigation into how the dynamic and tactile making process of ceramics might be more visibly embedded into the red ceramic object. It has evolved into an unlearning of conventional approaches to ceramics and shifted to embody a more collaborative and interrogative encounter with clay, plaster and foam, support materials hidden within the ceramic process. I have observed and combined these materials in relation to their hard and soft properties.
