Bronte Webster
www.brontewebster.com
Bronte uses painting as a medium to coalesce disparate visual languages into new compositions. Her work repurposes and re-contextualises art historical imagery, modernist architecture, biomorphic forms and personal iconography into an assemblage of visceral fragments. The resulting work proposes a speculative space that is imbued with paradox. Via unconventional modes of display and activations of physical space, the work functions to meet the viewer halfway in active and open engagement.
