I am interested in issues such as transience, re-presentation and the pervasive in uence of images. Digital screens and images seem perversely to be treated as more real or absorbing than the real world. Where then does reality lie?
My work investigates perception and the nature of reality
through phenomena such as light and time and transformational processes, such as melting ice. Dissonance between the image
and the real in the work reveals slippage. Drawing on a number of disciplines including photography, video, drawing and installation, my work has been developing as a hybrid practice.
