My practice developed from, and remains firmly grounded in painting. I produce vividly enthralling landscapes by the utilisation of unconventional colour palettes and the duality of abstraction and realism. My translation of painting into video, animation and installation acts as an extension to my process, in furthering the impressions ofmy landscapes—enabling the audience to be momentarily transported further in the reality constructed.
My work is concerned by tensions, within nature and between built environments. These disparities are communicated through—a fragmented grid, a field, courts, architecture and voided landscapes.
