The central focus of this area is the studio as a process of creation and a site of practice and enquiry. Such an idea of expanded studio practice means a range of things – from working in a defined studio space to a digital space or on location. By extension it includes shared areas of workshop, lab and installation space, as well as physical, virtual and conceptual spaces of encounter and exhibition. Students in this area have explored their practice through a range of mediums and ideas, including painting, drawing, video art, experimental animation, sound and installation practice.
In memoriam: Wayne Conduit.
Staff and students would like to celebrate the valued teaching and support offered to students for many years by Wayne Conduit. They dedicate their exhibition to his memory.
