My practice investigates the complex politics of gender and the body with performance-based artworks using installation, video, text and sound. In my work the temporal and fragile positions of the body within cultural hierarchies are explored through iterative installations.
In this series I use my own body as a performative material in order to explore the connections between personal bodily trauma and feminist politics. My main focus is translating bodily experiences into experiential installations that offer ways to collectively heal and transform. The expansive qualities of performative installation offer transformative possibilities with which to view the body and gender.
