Utilising a mixture of Icelandic folklore and fairy tale, I produce objects and stories to entertain my nieces. This work has developed out of the spatially detached relationship I have with them, a bond born through the digital connectivity of Skype. Through these interactions
I produce models, drawings and stories. I create both wearable and sculptural forms and explore a combination of puppetry and video performance, which help explore the naÏve enthusiasm of childhood and the potent imagery of Icelandic and Irish mythology.
