I’m interested in creating worlds as they exist in memory; fragmented, disjointed and slightly impossible.
With this work I am reframing the urban environment from a bunch of concrete and twisted metal placed on top of the natural world, to a natural human habitat, shaped and moulded by generations before us into the world in which we have collectively decided to live. As such it is both created by us and then creates us in turn as we adapt and change our lives to suit that environment. The ‘natural world’ then becomes simply a matter of perspective.
