The central focus of this area is the studio as a process of creation and a site of practice and enquiry. Expanded studio practice means a range of things – from working in a de ned studio space to a computer screen or on location. By extension it includes shared areas of workshop, lab and installation space, as well as physical, virtual and conceptual spaces of encounter and exhibition. Students in this area have explored their practice through a range of mediums and ideas, including painting, drawing, media arts, video art, experimental animation and installation practice.
